English and Culture Exchange Program
On January 1, 2006 the United States-Morocco Free Trade Agreement went into effect. This agreement bolstered the need for English skills among the Moroccans and understanding of the American culture. Since this time 4 teams have led a conversational English program in Rissani. Currently plans are being made in cooperation with the Education Ministry of ErRachidia to lead several week long programs in high schools and colleges in the state of ErRachidia to begin in the fall of 2010.
Training of Workers of a School for Children with Special Needs
Morocco has taken significant steps to improve the way children with special needs are cared for and the parents of these children are equipped. In the city of Agadir is one of the schools and where two Innovative teams have traveled to train workers and to encourage the parents of those children. This school now has a new facility funded by the king’s appropriations and plans are being made for another team to work with their personnel in November 2010 or March 2011.
